For the first time in history, more Queenslanders are renting than are paying off a mortgage. Currently, landlords have too much control over leases, rent and property standards, leaving many tenants’ housing security at the whim of their landlords. After Michael Berkman’s win in Maiwar, we have a genuine chance to make tenancy laws fairer for renters. But we need your help.

Later this year, the State Government will start hearing submissions and making decisions about minimum standards regulations for rental properties. Real change comes when people like you get involved. Sign up now to Brisbane Renters Alliance and help us make sure we get a clear commitment from the government regarding our core policy demands. [insert a phrase that we’ll use across all BRA-related things].
